In December 2023, the museum received the engineers’ report advising us to undertake the rehabilitation of the roof structure over the next one to two years, with an expected timeframe of eight months to complete the work. Preliminary estimates put the project at close to $1.3 million.
Since December, the museum has been submitting applications to several government programs, foundations, and other sponsors, still, your financial support to save the building is needed.
Save winnipegs oldest building
The Museum’s building, which dates from 1846-51, is the oldest in the City of Winnipeg. It will soon be 175 years old!
